Service Sector: Business Climate Indicator Reaches New Record High

Confidence expressed by survey participants in the services sector in their short-term business outlook reached its highest level since 2010. One in two companies also reported a positive current business situation. Turnover expectations reached a new record high, causing service providers to upwardly revise their personnel plans. Capacity utilisation rates of 85.8% were 0.9 percentage points above the figure for the same period last year and around 1.5 percent above last quarter’s results. A lack of qualified staff constrained the business activities of one in five service providers.
