One in Five Companies Has Already Employed Refugees

On behalf of and in cooperation with Randstad Deutschland, the ifo Institute conducts a quarterly survey of over 1,000 personnel managers on their use of various measures to make recruiting more flexible. In the first quarter of 2017 companies were also surveyed on their experiences with refugees. Since a similar question was already included in the survey a year previously, the first developments are now emerging. The survey results reveal that the share of companies employing refugees has tripled within a year.
