Manufacturing: Export Outlook Is Favourable

The business climate indicator in manufacturing edged down from last month's record high. Although demand remains brisk, the manufacturers surveyed were less satisfied with their current business situation than recently. They were marginally less optimistic about the months ahead, despite the fact that growth is more widely expected in foreign markets. Manufacturers ramped up their production plans again, partly due to relatively low inventory overhangs and a favourable order situation.
