Good Economic Outlook Still no Driver for Investment

The Investment Indicator compiled by the Ifo Institute and the German Association of German Leasing Companies and which is based on the current business assessments of the leasing companies signals a weak increase in real equipment investments of 0.8% and a nominal value of about 2% for 2017, after an increase of 2.1% in the previous year. In view of the still very good economic situation in Germany and the persistently low interest rates, the investment trend for 2017 is not very growth-oriented.
