Wholesaling: Confidence Gathers Impetus

The mood in wholesaling brightened in November. The wholesalers surveyed expressed far more confidence in their six-month economic outlook than over the past two years. Assessments of the current business situation also improved on the back of higher sales prices. Orders will increase in the months ahead and wholesalers expect greater scope for price increases. Staff numbers, by contrast, are hardly expected to increase at all.
