Wholesaling: Business Climate Indicator Continues to Fall

The business climate indicator fell in wholesaling. Both sub-components declined, but nevertheless remain far above their long-term average. In view of higher inventory pressure, the wholesalers surveyed intend to exercise greater caution in placing orders. Sales prices, by contrast, were increased more frequently and survey participants also expect greater scope for price increases in the months ahead.
