Wholesaling: Business Climate Cools Down

The business climate for wholesaling fell markedly in April. The wholesalers surveyed reported a drop in sales and assessed their business outlook less positively than last month. In view of inventory overhangs, wholesalers plan to pursue a more cautious ordering policy. Increases in sales prices are expected to be less widespread.
