Wholesaling: Business Climate Clouds Over

The business climate indicator declined in February. With demand dwindling, the current business situation was assessed less favourably than previously. The business outlook for the months ahead remained unchanged and thus far below the long-term average. Wholesalers remained cautious about placing orders, but to a lesser degree than last month. Only very few wholesalers plan to recruit additional staff.
