Retailing: Upwards Development

After last month’s decline, the business climate indicator in retailing rose again markedly. The retailers surveyed were very satisfied with their current business situation. Expectations for the months ahead also brightened. Since inventories were no longer as frequently assessed as too high, retailers’ ordering plans are less restrictive. They plan to moderately expand their staff base.
