Retailing: Firms Pursue Restrictive Ordering and Personnel Policy

The business climate indicator for retailing fell markedly in April, but remained positive. The retailers surveyed assessed their current business situation less favourably, and also voiced greater scepticism about business developments. Both ordering and personnel plans were geared towards cutbacks.
