Manufacturing: Export Expectations Rise

The business climate in manufacturing remained almost unchanged at last month’s level. Assessments of the current business situation were somewhat less favourable than in November, but manufacturers expressed greater optimism about the next six months. They registered more incoming orders and also assessed their sales opportunities in foreign markets more favourably. Production plans were slightly upwardly revised as a result.
