Manufacturing: climate indicator pointing upwards again

The downward trend in the business climate in the manufacturing sector did not continue in March. The survey participants were more satisfied with their current business situation, and they rated the outlook for the coming months less sceptically. Export opportunities for the coming months were assessed more favourably. With a continued decline in order backlogs, production is expected to be less expansionary, on balance.
