Manufacturing: Cautious Business Expectations

The business climate in manufacturing cooled down further, as both survey components weakened. Participants no longer rated their current situation as favourably as before, and also the more recently still optimistic business expectations moved into negative territory. However, there was little change to the expansive production plans. Although the export expectations weakened slightly, they still remained positive. The results indicate that the firms plan an increase in the workforce.
