Manufacturing: Business Expectations Decline Significantly

The business climate in manufacturing cooled down markedly. Although manufacturers were slightly more satisfied with their current business situation, but their recent optimism about the next six months gave way to predominantly pessimistic assessments. Sales opportunities in foreign markets were also deemed less favourable. Demand continued to weaken, and production plans were scaled back accordingly.
