Manufacturing: Poorer Expectations

In manufacturing the business climate has deteriorated slightly, primarily due to the noticeably restrained expectations of industrial firms. They were satisfied with their current business situation, however. Fewer companies now plan to increase production in the coming months. Stimulus from overseas business continues to be expected, but not as strongly as previously. Export expectations weakened for the fifth time in succession. In addition, fewer companies are planning to hire new employee.
