Manufacturing: Expectations Scaled Back

In manufacturing the business climate indicator rose for the sixth month in succession. This was due to markedly better assessments of the current business situation. Expectations, by contrast, were slightly less cautious. Optimism about exports also waned slightly. Recruitment plans remained slightly expansive. Capacity utilisation rates edged downwards marginally to 0.1 percentage points to 84.4%.
