Manufacturing: Business Situation Less Favourable

The business climate in manufacturing deteriorated again slightly. Manufacturers clearly downscaled their very good assessments of the current business situation. But there was some optimism about the months ahead. The demand situation improved, while inventory overhangs were reduced slightly. Thanks to the improved export outlook, more manufacturers are planning to ramp up production. The employment dynamic, by contrast, remains small.
