Wholesaling: Weaker Business but Outlook Remains Favourable

After last month’s clear increase, the business climate indicator for wholesaling in December fell again slightly. This was entirely due to less satisfied responses from survey participants regarding their current business situation. By contrast, companies assessed their six-month outlook more optimistically and intend to increase their order volumes, despite slightly increased stock overhangs. Wholesalers still plan to raise sales prices and increase their staff numbers in the near future.
