Wholesaling: Business Climate Indicator Rises Thanks to Confident Business Expectations

The business climate for wholesaling improved for the third month in succession. Although the wholesalers surveyed assessed their current business situation slightly less favourably, they were markedly more optimistic about business developments over the next six months. Despite higher inventories, wholesalers intend to expand their ordering activities. Employment plans were, on balance, oriented towards slight cutbacks in staff numbers.
