Wholesaling: Assessments of Outlook Are Far More Favourable

The business climate indicator for wholesaling rose markedly in November and has now turned clearly positive. Despite larger inventory overhangs, survey participants were clearly more satisfied with their current business situation. In addition, more confident reports marginally outnumbered recently sceptical business expectations. Companies plan to place roughly the same amount of orders as one year ago. Personnel plans were oriented towards a slight increase in the staff base.
