Manufacturing: poorer export expectations

In manufacturing the business climate cooled significantly in August. The companies responding to the Ifo Business Survey were not as satisfied with their current situation as in July. Confidence in future business performance has almost completely faded. Fewer companies expect positive impulses from exports. This may have prompted the firms to adjust their production plans downward.
