Latest Results of the Ifo Investment Database for 2011

The Ifo Investment Database is a wide-ranging instrument for investigating economic development trends and shifts in investment structures in Germany's economic sectors. Drawing on a variety of data sources it delivers condensed investment matrices for 50 economic sectors and twelve goods groups in Germany, which shed light on the share of investments made by an economic segment in individual product groups. In its aggregates the calculations are consistent with the figures of the Federal Statistics Office according to WZ2008 and GP2002. This article describes the latest results of the Ifo Investment Database for 2011 and also looks at the various aspects related to investments in road transport vehicles.
