ifo Branchen-Dialog 2014 (Ifo Industry Colloquium) – a Preview

This year’s Ifo Industry Colloquium, which will once again be supported by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economics and Media, Energy and Technology, as well as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria, will take place on 5 November 2014. After a welcome speech by the President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria, Eberhard Sasse, Hans-Werner Sinn, President of the Ifo Institute, will discuss the topic of: “The economic situation in Germany and Europe” and Timo Wollmershäuser, also of the Ifo Institute, will talk about the: “Mid-term forecast for Germany”. At the same time as these talks, there will be parallel events in the forums “Manufacturing”, “Construction” and “Services”. In all four branch forums the Ifo Institute’s forecasts will be discussed with experts from companies and associations. The event will close with a speech given by Gabriel Felbermayr, Ifo Institute, on the topic of “Transatlantic Free Trade – Opportunity or Threat?”
