Climate Notes: Sustainable Energy Supply – the "Energy Sustainability Index"

In the context of the energy turnaround the term "energy policy triangle" regularly pops up. This term establishes the relationship between the security, profitability and/or affordability of energy provision. This article presents the "Energy Sustainability Index", which unites the three dimensions of the triangle in one value and classifies countries according to their ability to guarantee a secure, economically viable and environmentally-friendly energy supply.
