Investment Fears Fade – Leasing Climate Turns Positive

The business expectations of survey participants have turned positive again, according to the results of Ifo’s latest survey of leasing companies. The Ifo/BDL Investment Test shows a moderate increase in equipment investment (including other assets) of 2.5% for 2013. Although a decline is expected at the beginning of the year, investment activity should pick up significantly over the rest of 2013. However, this growth should not be sufficient to bring investment back to the level of 2011, or to pre-crisis levels.
