German Electronics Industry– Review 2012 and Outlook 2013

An analysis by Andreas Gontermann, ZVEI, Frankfurt am Main, shows that 2012 was a cautious year overall for the German electronics industry. Production and turnover fell slightly. Exports, on the other hand, reached a new record and employment was at a ten-year high. German electronics manufacturing should see moderate growth. The middle to long-term outlook for the industry remains favourable primarily due to its innovative capacity.
