German Electronics Industry– Dynamic Expected to Pick up During the Year

The German electronics industry hardly started 2013 any better than it ended 2012. Between January and February of this year orders were 3% below the level of the same period a year previously. At the same time, price-adjusted production and turnover also fell by 5% respectively versus the same period of the previous year. In the view of Andreas Gontermann, ZVEI – Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie, Frankfurt, branch developments remain subdued.
