Investments in the Wake of the Financial Crisis – Equipment Leasing Continues to See Above-Average Growth

The Investment Indicator, which is released jointly by the Ifo Institute and the BDL (the Federal Association of German Leasing Companies), only signals a nominal increase of ½% in investment in equipment including other investments in 2012. Over the second half of this year companies will exercise growing caution with their investments. This is mainly due to lasting uncertainty over the European debt crisis. The weak phase does not look set to end until the beginning of 2013.
