Ifo Investment Survey in Retailing and Automotive Trade: Investment Dynamic Slows Slightly

According to the results of the Ifo Investment Survey in trade, both retailers and motor traders plan to increase their investment again in 2012 versus the previous year. This applies to both equipment and construction. The majority of retailers surveyed expect higher turnover than in 2011; while a balanced employment outlook showed an equal number of companies reported expansive and restrictive staff policies. Auto traders expect revenues to be lower on balance than last year and plan to reduce their staff base.
