Wage developments are driving tax revenues: results of the tax revenue forecast of November 2011

The working group for tax revenue forecasts has revised its prognosis for tax revenues upwards for the third consecutive time. Above all, revenue from the wage tax is developing significantly more dynamically than was expected, due to strong wage growth. For 2012, however, a weaker growth of revenue is now anticipated. Fiscal-policy leeway thus remains low overall.
