Surfing alone with a PC or smart phone - is this what everyday life looks like in the digital society? The Ifo Institute and Initiative D21 examined how the Internet influences our social life. At a presentation in Berlin on 26 May 2001 - "Homo Digitalis - Is the Internet destroying society?" - current research results were presented and discussed by a panel of experts.
Hannes Schwaderer, President of the Initiative D21 e.V. and managing director of Intel GmbH, emphasised the large potential of digital media for society and for Germany as a business location.
