US weak dollar policy: In future the Fed will play the key role not politicians!

In the opinion of Josef Braml and Claudia Schmucker, the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), Berlin, in light of the looming political gridlock in the US, more attention should be directed towards the organisational power of the Federal Reserve. The Fed continues to try to revive the economy with injections of liquidity. The success or failure of this action will influence the 2012 presidential elections and also have a strong influence on economic growth in Europe and in the newly industrialised countries.
