Innovation dynamics and long-term growth potentials make the aircraft industry a key player in industrial structure change

A technology forum took place on 24 March 2010 in Berlin, conducted by the Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology and the Federal Association of the German Aircraft Industry. Detlev Müller-Wiesner, president of the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics, took an in-depth look at key aspects of German technology policies. Hans-Günther Vieweg, Ifo Institute, evaluated the position of the German aircraft industry in terms of the international competition, showed its strengths and weaknesses and discussed approaches for economic-policy measures.
