Ifo Business Survey in October 2008

The Ifo Business Climate Index for German industry and trade fell clearly in October, continuing the downward trend of recent months. The surveyed companies gave a virtually unchanged assessment of the current business situation but were considerably more sceptical regarding the six-month outlook. The firms are bracing themselves for a decline in business activity.
