Ifo Business Survey for May 2008

The Ifo Business Climate index for German industry and trade rose in May, after having clearly declined in the previous month. In spite of the improvement it was only able to partially regain the ground lost in April. The surveyed firms assessed their current business situation more positively than in the previous month. With regard to the six-month business outlook, they are also a bit more confident.
