Waste management industry: Economic revival of the industry continues

After a turnover stagnation in the first years of the new decade, a revival of economic activity is indicated for the waste management industry. The member companies of the Federal Association of Secondary Raw Materials and Disposal Management registered a turnover growth of 5% for the first six months of this year; for the second half of 2006 they expect another 3.5%. The recovery is being advanced less by quantitative aspects than by price developments in the wake of the Technical Regulations for Settlement Waste.
