Ifo Business Survey for October 2006

In German trade and industry, the business climate improved again in October. The firms assessed their current business situation again more positively than in the previous month and also their expectations improved after the weakening over the last three months. These results point to a continuation of the economic upswing, although the hike in VAT next year might have a slight, dampening effect.
