Ifo Business Survey for November 2006

The business climate in German industry and trade clearly improved in November and reached the highest level in 15 years, with a balance value of 12.8 percentage points. The already favourable current business situation was again assessed more positively than in the previous month and also the outlook was seen more optimistically. Manufacturing firms expect growing stimuli from exports. The results of the Ifo Business Survey speak for a continuous, robust upswing in economic activity with a positive impact on the labour market, as the detailed results confirm.
