Improved business expectations

Western German wholesalers classified their current business situation a little more unfavourably. Although the situation improved again in the consumer goods area, in trade between producers and industrial customers the negative responses predominated again more clearly. Less scepticism was expressed in the business expectations for the coming half year, and order plans were restrictive only in isolated cases despite excess inventories.
