Stable upswing in European apartment house construction - further results of the 2005 Euroconstruct summer conference

According to the latest Euroconstruct forecasts the slight decline in single-family houses in Europe will continue to 2007. In contrast, the number of completed units in multiple-family buildings will increase almost to the end of 2007. In terms of value, the expansion in apartment buildings will not suffice to stabilise and solidify the slight recovery in new residential construction. Instead, a slight weakening in this sector is expected for 2006 and 2007.
