Ifo Business Survey for July 2005

The business climate in German industry and trade clearly improved in July. Especially the enterprises' business expectations for the coming half year were more favourable, but also the assessments of the current situation improved. The results confirm the hopes that economic growth will improve soon. In eastern Germany the climate indicator increased less than the federal average, particularly due to the weaker improvement in business expectations.
