Ifo Business Survey for January 2005

The business climate in German trade and industry improved slightly in January 2005. This was due to more confident appraisals of the business outlook for the coming half year, while the current situation was again assessed a little more negatively. Overall, the latest results of the Ifo Business Survey confirm the December forecast of the Ifo Institute that the moderate economic upswing will continue this year.
