Upward trend continues

The brightening of the business climate in west German wholesaling continued in October, after a one-month interruption. The current business situation was judged less negatively; the business outlook for the coming half year were hardly marked by pessimism any more. In consumer goods the survey firms complained increasingly about excessive inventories, while in producer–industrial customer trade they have been reduced.
