Reduced scepticism

In western German wholesaling, business conditions remained at the unsatisfactory level of the previous month. A clear improvement in the consumer goods field was offset by a similar worsening in producer-industrial customer trade. Excess inventories were not reduced. The order plans showed an increased downward trend although the business outlook was judged less sceptically for the third time in succession.
