Wholesaling (east):
Improved business situation only temporary

In eastern German wholesaling, the business situation improved strongly, but the negative judgements still clearly hold the balance. With lively demand there were few complaints about excess inventories. As the increased pessimism in expectations indicates, this positive development is only regarded as temporary. Correspondingly, the order plans contain further cuts. In both survey panels, the enterprises see chances for raising sales prices in the coming months. The decline in employee numbers is expected to continue.
