Declining pessimism

There was no change in the unfavourable judgement of business conditions in eastern German wholesaling, but the negative responses did not predominate as clearly as in the west. Inventory pressure abated only a little. In the business expectations reduced pessimism was expressed, which was also reflected in the slightly expansive order plans. While western German wholesalers expect price stability in the coming months, their eastern German counterparts see some scope for price increases.
