Business situation nearly satisfactory

In eastern Germany the business conditions improved significantly to an almost satisfactory level; this is due in large part to consumer durable goods. Inventory pressure, however, again became more noticeable. Here too the enterprises planned more frequent restrictions of order activity in spite of improved expectations. According to the survey responses, prices in western and eastern Germany will increase slightly in the coming months.
