Business situation less unfavourable

After the upward trend in the two preceding months, negative business-condition judgements again dominated in western German retailing. The expectations have improved somewhat, but in the food and beverage sector scepticism has increased again. Since the considerably large inventories were only partly reduced, order plans were revised downwards even further.
