Leasing: No unambiguous business climate trend as the investment engine continues to stutter

According to the results of the most recent Ifo Business Survey in Leasing, the business situation improved in the second quarter of 2003. The further recovery is expected to slow down, however. The business expectations of the leasing companies as well as the leading indicator calculated from the expectations for equipment investment in the overall economy raise doubts that a growth in equipment spending can be achieved for the year as a whole.
