Ifo Business Survey for January 2003

The Ifo Business Climate in manufacturing, construction, retailing and wholesaling improved slightly, after seven months of decline. Both the expectations and the current situation improved somewhat. In eastern Germany the business climate brightened for the second time in succession, although judgements of the business situation deteriorated a little. However, this business climate improvement is not yet an indication for an economic turnaround
